About Me
Hi, I’m Nonye Soludo, welcome to my blog!
I am 44 year old mother of 6 kids. I started this blog
because I am very passionate about fitness and I am interested in sharing my
health, fitness and weightloss journey.
In 2005, after I had my 5th child, I was at my
heaviest, I weighed 100kg and I was very unfit. This was my wakeup call. My
weight was affecting my health and after finding my self in the emergency room,
I changed my lifestyle and never looked back.
I started slowly; I first started by quitting Coca Cola (my addiction) and all other fizzy drinks, then I started reducing my portions. After, I became used to that, I started finding heathier substitutes for all my favourite Nigerian foods (yes you can still eat your swallows and rice dishes).
After about a year and half, I lost over 30kg and I completely switched
to organic, natural foods only. I also do a juice cleanse 2 to 4 times a year and I managed to keep the weight off.
I enjoy running, and boxing and cross training. I am currently in the process of training for a half marathon.
This blog is going to be about my weightloss journey and how I did it, healthy recipes and general health tips.
